Barnes & Noble

The Barnes & Noble book store has my book back on their website. But it is listed at $96.58 per book?

I sent an Email today asking them to make that correction. The book should be listed at $14.99 per book.

Man I hope you all make a purchase off the Barnes & Noble book stores website. I know they are truly a professional book store. I'm sure it was not intentionally done, they must make mistakes once or twice a year.

It is hard selling books but with your help we can make it a well-known book. By demand we can get it into the book stores.

Chinook Store

Today a Ms. Pera called me from the Chinook Pharmacy & Variety store in Forks, WA.

She asked for my publishing company. I told her Tate's Publishing Co. and gave her my marketing person’s phone number. Ms. Pera is also interested in a book reading party to be held at the Chinook Pharmacy store.

I'll keep you updated on the outcome.

Thank you for purchasing, Joseph and the Tamanawis Spirit, my newly published book.

P.S. Maybe by-word-of-mouth we can get the book into the hands of the reading people.

Good Reviews

Today on Facebook I got a fantastic review from a Pastor of the Assembly of God church.

He said that he recommends for all to pick up the book and read it. It's Worth Reading.

I truly appreciated the remark that this man made about, Joseph and the Tamanawis Spirit.

But I'm quite mad that Barnes & Noble book store removed it from the internet. So if you would like to purchase a book just purchase one through me.

WRITE A REVIEW!

On the Barnes and Noble Website you can write a review!

The more people that talk about, Joseph and the Tamanawis Spirit. Then we build a "Demand" for, Joseph and the Tamanawis Spirit! Therefore the book is brought to the book stores attention.

Also "IF" you purchase the book online the better the "Demand." If you do so; it will be on the shelves! I'm learning this as we go along here. And it's "FUN!"

So let's show them some "NATIVE PRIDE" and get this "NATIVE BOOK" on the shelves for all to read :)

Visit the link listed here and write a "REVIEW."
OOOH Yes, and make a purchase :) Christmas is just around the corner.

It was great!

Dancing, Drumming, and Singing was the theme at LaPush, WA.
I truly appreciated the fact that I was asked to attend this, "Drum Practice."
Sold some books too.

On the Barnes & Noble website I did a search and couldn't find my book?
I don't understand but it was on the website October 16, 2012.
To inform my marketing person at Tate's Publishing; copied and pasted the exact wording from the reply I received from Barnes & Noble.
I hope he can get this fixed soon.

From chapter - Joseph TaHayYasib Miller

Page - 150

"Joseph thought, If only I accepted the Tamanawis power, great-Grandfather Frank would be here."

We as the human race loss people that we love all the time whether it is by death, divorce, or disappearing. It's always the heart-ache that we must deal with that destroys us. Our mind, body and spirits can become ash and blow away in the wind. Our only hope is to have someone come help us along the way.

"Moments"

I read and answered something on Twitter yesterday and I’m going to share it here.

Q. “Writers, do you know how to create "moments" so you don't bore your readers?”

A.  Meaning? “The Tamanawis spirit waits like a black leopard on the highest plateau of the Neah Bay village. Throbbing beats pulsate in its throat in anticipation for a victim to call upon its name. Tamanawis lingers and glances ever so slyly toward the village ready to pounce: like a scorpion’s tail would strike, filling its unfortunate target with poison.

I think that is what the writer meant! What do you think? Is my ANSWER written as a moment?

Tomorrow...Brighter Day:)

Holding my breath; I've always felt second best. Never good enough, the only things that I feel proud of; are my three sons and now my two granddaughters!

So please don't think that I'm bragging when I make posts. The intentions are to promote my book. So my family (Sons and Granddaughters) can be proud of their Mom and Grandmother.

One of my most liked movies, 28 Days, makes me cry when I watch it....

Gwen: [Breaking down] I'm sorry I make it impossible for you to love me.

Lily: [Consoling her] Oh, Gwen, you make it impossible for me not to love you.

I guess that I'm just feeling sad today, sorry.

But tomorrow will be brighter; Joseph and the Tamanawis Spirit, will be in the Bigger book stores. Brighter-Days ahead!

Sent message to, Northwest Indian News.

A Ms. Cleary from Northwest Indian News made a request of me yesterday; after I talked with her on the phone. She said, "Could you send me an excerpt from, Joseph and the Tamanawis Spirit?" So I sent an Email with this wording to her; for her to share with others as well.

When strange things begin happening on the Makah Reservation in Neah Bay, Washington. Fawn and Dennis Miller suspect an evil spirit is leading Nicolai Vain down a dangerous path. When Dennis and Fawn's son, Joseph TaHayYasib Miller, becomes Nicolai's target, they prepare for an epic battle, with the world's fate hanging in the balance.

Joseph gathers his friends, otherwise known as the Star Fire Crew, to capture Nicolai and banish his spirit. But when Nicolai's powers transform their Makah Indian friends into devilish henchmen known as Pook Men, Joseph and the Star Fire Crew find themselves in trouble.

In the heat of the battle, Fawn is rendered unconscious but manages to find herself in the spirit world, able to fight Nicolai Vain's dark power. Will she survive and fight in the spirit realm? Will Joseph and the Star Fire Crew succeed in stopping Nicolai Vain and the Pook Men? Or will the world fall into Nicolai's malevolent hands? Find out in Dawn Lawrence's suspenseful and adventurous story, Joseph and the Tamanawis Spirit.

Chapter - Becoming a Total of Three

The ferryboat landed after a smooth sailing across the Straits of Juan De Fuca. Nicolai and Shane had been the first car off the ferry, and they pulled over to wait. Shane was aware of what the young man would be driving. So they watched.
Shane said, "There he is, boss."

Above a fregment of the book.

Yesterday I visited the Little Creek Casino in Shelton, WA. I met a lady named Sheila, she is the Retail Supervisor of the gift shop. Sheila was so supportive and purchased the most books yet. Thanks! Little Creek Casino for making that book purchase.

Portion of the book - Chapter - Somebody Will Die

Page 228

A lightning bolt broke overhead, and the water became even rougher.

Nicolai was making this happen, for he thought, Joseph is a human, and he can’t last long in this weather. Nicolai swam right for Joseph in a very large wave. His intention was to force Joseph to land. Joseph could see him coming in the wave, but he was exhausted. Nicolai would have to get Joseph up to land, change himself back into the frilled lizard, and then spit into Joseph’s mouth some of his Tamanawis power to fulfill the evil prophecy.

Joseph couldn’t move anymore and became very discouraged. So he prayed with much doubt, “God, have you forsaken me?”

Joseph TaHayYasib Miller thought, I am going to die by letting this water immerse within my lungs rather than let Nicolai Vain strengthen his Tamanawis powers!

He stopped swimming. He started to sink to the bottom of the Pacific Ocean.
